Lip Augmentation

Lip Augmentation

One thing we hear quite often from our Vancouver area clients is a desire for fuller, more attractive and alluring lips. This is a common desire, and quite understandable – after all, your lips are among your more prominent facial features along with the eyes.

For a long time, the only solution to this concern was surgical. Now, however, there are a number of non-surgical methods of providing you with thicker, fuller, more attractive lips. Through the use of dermal fillers we may be able to provide you with the lips you have always dreamed about.

You can trust us to meet your goals safely, using only proven, effective treatments.

PROCEDURE INFO: So, how do lip fillers work? It starts with the aesthetic evaluation when the treatment plan and the choice of the filler are decided. There are subtle differences between the different hyaluronic acid-containing fillers. After the decision is made, a topical numbing cream is applied to the lips for a few minutes. The injector then uses a particular injection technique called “micro-droplet” method to achieve the most natural-looking results. Sometimes, when the lips are very thin, it’s better to spread out the treatment over a few weeks. In that case, the injector will be able to re-assess the lip volume after the filler settles and add more as necessary. After the injection, brief swelling or even temporary bruising may occur, which typically resolves within a few days. Therefore, plan your non-surgical lip augmentation in advance if you’re thinking of attending an important event or function.

The results of non-surgical lip augmentation will typically last 1-4 months, and vary person to person depending on the individual metabolic rate, the degree of lip movement, and the quantity of the injected filler.
